Respected Members and Dear Young Orthopods,

Greetings to the esteemed members of Central Zone IOA,

I am pleased to announce that the fellowship program has been restarted after a gap of several years. This has been made possible due to the dedicated efforts of the Fellowship Committee Chairman, Dr. Jayant Sen.

This year, we received three applications, all for the Ganga Fellowship. Unfortunately, no applications were received for the Hand Fellowship.

One applicant, Dr. Kumar Chadan from IGIMS, Patna, was not a Central Zone member; hence, his application could not be considered.

The remaining two candidates, Dr. Vivek Kumar Kori (Bhopal, MP) and Dr. Ankur Agrawal (Jaipur, Rajasthan), were invited for an interview at MTS, Prayagraj. Following the interview held on 12 April 2026, both candidates were found eligible in accordance with the guidelines and criteria laid down by the Fellowship Committee.
